Ok, so in desperately seeking things to work on for my advertising portfolio I stumbled upon someone’s blog (and then stupidly clicked away), but this person had started a Things I Love Thursday post. Think of it, every week you list out things you love. I think I need this tonight, so here we go.

the smell of rain right before it starts :: It’s beautiful and fresh and must have been something I smelled a lot in the first month I was alive. It smells like home and far away all at once.

hot chocolate :: yummy warm liquid on a cold day and it tastes like chocolate. I can’t have coffee, and when I don’t really want the caffiene it’s perfect.

writing letters :: not on the computer, but by hand. I love writing down things and coloring and all that craziness and then sending it to someone. This seriously needs to happen more often.

change :: my country elected Obama on Tuesday. I’m not sure anyone really gets what this means. And I’m not even talking about the color of his skin, because after we get past the issue of race in this country’s past, what’s the point of even bringing it up?

I think I might copy your idea for “Things I Love Thursdays”. It’s pretty smart. And I love all those things, too!

I’m probably going to be in DC on Inauguration Day because I think that I live too close (1.5 hours) to miss out on something that historical.

Also, is historical even a word? It sounds made up. Historic!

ha yeah, historical is a word. I googled and according to wikipedia ‘historical’ can be traced back to 1661, while ‘historic’ can only be traced to 1669. Although I do agree with you ‘historical’ seems less formal/more made up than ‘historic’
